MOST DANGEROUS BORDERS, The Borders we see on the map usually aren’t as simple as they seem. A country can share borders with more than one country at a time and having border disputes with a few of them is pretty common. These borders end up being very dangerous and impassable with hundreds of “non-military” people dying every year. Border security is a vital party of the country’s national university, any sort of unexpected actions here cause the entire country to go into chaos. So today, we are going to list the 5 most dangerous borders in the world.
5. INDIA-BANGLADESH DANGEROUS BORDER
MOST DANGEROUS BORDERS, India and Bangladesh share one of the longest borders in the world. The 2,545-mile border is made up of very confusing enclaves, you might find yourself in Indian territory surrounded by Bangladeshi territory within Indian territory!!! This border has become a common route for smugglers and immigrants to come inside the country illegally, the illegal immigration levels are so high that the Indian Border Security forces have been issued a shoot on sight order. This has led to the death of thousands.
4. THE UNITED STATES- MEXICO DANGEROUS BORDER
MOST DANGEROUS BORDERS, Running from California to Texas, this 1,989-mile border is known for having the highest annual, legal border crossings in the world. The border passes through urban cities and desert areas, almost all of the patrol agents stay near the urban leaving the desert areas unguarded. So obviously people will try to take advantage of that, over 500,000 people try to cross the border illegally every year with several hundred deaths. The zone is actually known for being controlled by drug traffickers who traffic drugs, weapons and people.
3. ISRAEL-SYRIA BORDER
MOST DANGEROUS BORDERS, This border has been disputed for almost a hundred years with the two countries actually being at war with each other several times. In the 1920s, the whole middle east was divided between the Soviet Union, Britain, and France with the Syrian side going to France. The border was changed, multiple times before independence causing Israel and Syria to fight over it even till now.
2. INDIA-PAKISTAN BORDER
India was divided into India and Pakistan in 1947, hundreds of thousands of people died during the partition the two countries have been at each other’s throats since then. This 1,800-mile border is heavily guarded and very dangerous, it can be seen from space due to the floodlights from the Indian side. The two countries have fought 3 wars and are continuously fighting over the Kashmir Province and the Siachen Glacier.
1. NORTH-SOUTH KOREA BORDER
MOST DANGEROUS BORDERS, The Korean war ended 70 years ago, but their hostilities didn’t. This 160-mile border is the most dangerous border in the world. Heavily armed by troops from both sides, barbed wires and filled with active landmines. The situation has reached such a level that even the UN and the United States got involved, the DMZ was created so that the two countries are at a safe difference from each other and anyone who crosses is shot on spot.
