Poverty

Poverty can be defined as a condition where man does not have sufficient money even to cover his basic needs. He is unable to get the three essential things of the world that are food, clothing, and housing. They do not get enough food even after working the whole day. They do not have a roof to protect them from harsh weather. They don’t even have appropriate clothing. Children of poor families are unable to seek education. The children of poor families do not develop mentally due to a lack of education. They have no power to think. They are unable to grow physically as well because they do not eat enough. They become helpless for everything.

The increasing population of the country every day is the main reason for an increase in poverty. The government does not have so many schemes that it can provide things like houses, food, and education to all the people of the country. The higher the population, the less all kinds of facilities and resources. Due to population growth, life is no less than hell for those who are living at poor or even lower levels.

The country’s unemployment rate is now at such high levels that many people do not even have jobs to do. If there are so many people in the country then obviously it is difficult for everyone to get a job. Even small jobs are getting extinct nowadays. Unemployment is increasing poverty. When natural calamities occur, the poorest people are affected the most. Through NGOs, some people assist them in uplifting the condition of the underprivileged. In some places, free education is being provided to poor children. The government is making every effort to end poverty, but due to the big population, the process is taking a while. It serves as a key roadblock to the nation’s advancement. The government has made an effort to offer children free schooling, gas amenities, etc. But much work remains to be done.

The necessities are out of reach for disadvantaged families due to poverty and lack of funds. For disadvantaged kids, attending a decent school is a dream. Even getting bread for two times to poor people becomes a crooked kheer. Poor families are unable to buy books and toys for their children. Family and children do not get good balanced and nutritious food. Their ability to develop mentally and physically is compromised in this circumstance. Poor families make their children work to earn a little money at home.

Poverty has become very common in the country. Poor people are forced to live in small huts around the roads. A large part of the country’s population is helpless to survive without clothes, bread, and houses. His pitiable condition is reflected in his eyes. No one respects them and they are despised everywhere. It is the irony of the country that there are so many rich people on one side and poor people on one hand who have only dry bread to eat.

To eradicate poverty, good facilities should be given to the farmers so that they can progress in the agriculture sector. India is an agricultural country, yet farmers leave agriculture and migrate to cities. Coming to the cities, their condition gets worse. That’s how he makes his living. Poverty is increasing even in cities. Free education and training should be provided to the underprivileged so that they can find jobs. To reduce poverty, it is necessary to make the family aware of family planning. The more families in which the members are, the fewer problems will be faced by the poor people.

In the nation, one rule must be put into effect. That is every child’s right to an education. The same rights to education that everyone else enjoys should also apply to underprivileged children. If the population is less then people will get more employment opportunities and we will be able to eradicate the poverty which has been going on for centuries in the country.

Conclusion

Poverty is a national problem. The government has to adopt a more effective method for poverty alleviation. The administration made numerous attempts to end poverty, but no appreciable progress was accomplished. It is necessary to eradicate issues like a bad economy, corruption, and lack of education in the country in time, only then we will be able to wipe the tears of poor people and eradicate their helplessness. Such positive efforts will have to be made so that the poor also get the same opportunities, basic things, and respect in society as the common man.
