UNLOCK The lockdown 4.0 ended on 31 st May 2020. This marked the beginning of Unlock 1.0 aka Lockdown 5.0 from 01 st June 2020.
The central government issued guidelines, providing relaxations to the lockdown hit nation. Ministry of Home Affairs issued a set of guidelines relating to the relaxations that may be applicable nationwide but the States and local administration reserve the right to make
changes in the application of these guidelines.
These guidelines state that vehicles will be allowed to commute freely from the 08th of June nationwide as the current restrictions on transportation are relaxed. This provides for unrestricted movement of passenger and private vehicles interstate.
The Ministry of Home Affairs also relaxed the requirement of passes for vehicle movement. E- passes will be necessary UNLOCK only for essential service providers who are out on road between the night curfew between 9 P.M. to 5 A.M. The lockdown has been extended in containment zones
until 30th June 2020. Many states have already announced changes in the operative guidelines to be followed in the state.
In lieu of this, let’s look at the decisions undertaken by various State governments.
DELHI
CM Arvind Kejriwal announced UNLOCK that barbershops and saloons will start opening in Delhi but spas will not be allowed to run in the government. All the restrictions on the working of the industries will be lifted.
HARYANA
Hotels, malls, and devotional places would be reopening from 8th June. All the inter-state borders are also opening allowing UNLOCK free movement of people and goods.
GUJARAT
The largest textile market of India, in Surat, resumed upon its normal activities on an odd-even basis between 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Government offices were allowed to operate without any cap on the number of staff members.
WEST BENGAL
Government offices were allowed with 50% staff, attendance was to be followed under a rational basis. Ferry services on the UNLOCK Hooghly river were allowed with 40% of there capacity.
TAMIL NADU
Bus services in Madurai were resumed.
MEGHALAYA
Interstate movement stands suspended. UNLOCK All shops except barber shops, beauty parlors and
malls will be allowed to run.
RAJASTHAN
Tourist places and monuments were reopened. Performances by folk and cultural artists were also allowed.
