The Kasaba police station in Kozhikode district, Kerala on Thursday filed an FIR under no-bailable sections against Zee News editor-in-chief Sudhir Chaudhary for denigrating the Muslim Community that is offending to them in a program called DNA broadcasted on 11.03.2020 on Zee News.
In his program on Wednesday evening, Sudhir Chaudhary used an illustration to breakdown the many ways he alleged Muslims are practicing ‘jihad’ on Hindus in India.
sudhir indulged in a five-minute discourse on divergent types of jihad, during his show. Then he
went on to describe ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ jihad in detail about the history of jihad, media jihad, love
jihad, population jihad, land jihad etc. Then he proceeds on to focus on ‘Zameen jihad’, or land
jihad, claiming “some people are playing the trick of capturing the government’s land to change the population in terms of religion”. He then added that Islamists are even trying to change the religion of land, jungle, and rivers.
The Tv anchor castigated the Kerala police and said he was awarded for ‘exposing inconvenient facts’. Chaudhary said in a tweet, attaching a copy of FIR. The case was registered at the station on March 24. However, the incident came to a culmination when he posted a copy of FIR on his social media handle. The petition was filled by P. Gawas who is state joint secretary of the All India Youth Federation (AIYF), the young wing of CPI in Kerala.
