CM Yogi Adityanath suspended 5 policemen, The gruesome incident at Hathras has evoked protests all over the country. Not just the brutal torture and rape of the 19-year-old Dalit girl but the following incidents and how the police reacted to the situation has shocked everyone to the core. Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of UP ordered the suspension of the superintendent of police of Hathras, Vikrant Veer and four other local policemen, on Friday. Circle officer Ram Shabd, inspector Dinesh Kumar Verma, sub-inspector Jagveer Singh and head constable Mahesh Pal are the names along with the SP in the list of policemen suspended due to the shameful incident.
After the girl breathed her last on Tuesday, the family was denied the return of the body to the family of the deceased. On Wednesday, the injustice took another step forward when the police cremated the body at the dead of the night without the involvement of the family. The incident disgusted people and made them question the law and protection in the country.
CM Yogi Adityanath suspended 5 policemen,, The same SP who was suspended on Friday had earlier given his statement that the victim who was found paralyzed with spine broken and tongue cut, bleeding and in terrible pain was actually not raped, based on lack of evidence. “No signs of sexual assault was confirmed by doctors in either Hathras or Aligarh. The matter will be probed by doctors through forensic help. No signs of abrasion were found on the victim’s private parts.”
On 14th September, a 19-year-old woman in Hathras went to collect fodder with her mother but she went missing. 4 upper-class men brutally tortured and raped and she was found later by her family, injured. Her spine was broken which caused paralysis, and she was inhumanly strangulated and her tongue was almost cut off by her own teeth when she bit on it while being tortured and raped. She was rushed to Aligargh government hospital where it was deducted that there was definitely signs of force but opinion regarding rape was pending.
But on 22nd, the victim, Manisha gave her statement on the incident and affirmed rape. She breathed her on 29th September in Delhi and the incident regarding her cremation was the last straw. Public outrage in the whole country ensued. The lack of media coverage also angered people. CM Yogi Adityanath suspended 5 policemen, The fact she was rape don 14th but the news hit headlines only after her death made people question what media considered worth covering.
After CM Yogi ordered the suspension of the aforementioned policemen, Chief Secretary Avanish Awasthi said that all the officers will undergo a Narco test as will the family members of the victim, because of the statement regarding the incident from both the partied contradicted.
From Trinamool delegation to Rahul Gandhi and Indira Gandhi, no one was allowed to meet the family of the victim and regarding this Uma Bharti, BJP leader in UP tweeted and requested Yogi Adityanath to not stop anyone from meeting the family of the victim. She said that she is like an older sister to the CM and hopes he opens up the gate for the media personals and politicians to meet the family of the victim.

CM yogi ensured complete safety of women. He constituted SIT on Wednesday, comprising Home Secretary Bhagwan Swarup, DIG Chandraprakash and Agra Commandment Poonam, who are looking into the crime.
