Hike Aarogya Setu the COVID-19 tracking app launched by NITI aayog on 2nd April has now crossed 7.5 Crore download mark according to the recent survey performed by the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY). The app has achieved a lot of success ever since its launch date and had crossed 5 Crore download mark within 13 days. Sanjay Dhotre, the minister of Electronics and IT has expressed satisfaction over the launch and success of the app and considered the app to be most “important tool to fight against Covid-19”.Hike In the recent meeting, Dhotre also discussed the opening of Information technology (IT) and IT-enabled service (ITes) companies after lockdown.
“It is a historic opportunity for the government to serve Hike humanity and it should be utilized to the fullest and every effort should be made to bring relief to common people” –Dhotre

Even though some privacy issues came in with the app yet it has been downloaded a lot by the people. The app has been supported by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also the government has claimed that the user data is safe with them.
The Aarogya Setu app is available on Android Hike as well as iOS and uses Bluetooth and location of the user in order to tell them if they are in the safe zone or not.
