Aloe Vera, a succulent commonly found in every household. But do you know this potted plant is not only for decoration but also serves many medicinal purposes and can give you
glowing skin and healthy hair and is widely known for its healing properties.

AloeVera belongs to the genus Aloe. It is an evergreen perennial, it originates from the Arabian Peninsula but grows wild in tropical, semi-tropical, and arid climates around the
world. It is cultivated for agricultural and medicinal uses. The species is also used for decorative purposes and grows successfully indoors as a potted plant.

Here are some of the easy ways to apply AloeVera to get healthy and glowing skin:

1. Applying pure AloeVera gel.
Cut an aloeVera from the middle to get the gel out of it. Rub the gel all over your face in a circular motion and let it dry. Wash off with normal water afterward. Aloe Vera being anti-bacterial prevents acne growth on the skin and the anti-inflammatory effects of Aloe Vera soothes the skin. For the existing acne apply Aloe Vera gel and leave overnight, don’t forget to wash it off the next day.

2. Aloe Vera and Lemon
Aloe Vera gel can be mixed up with lemon juice in the ratio 8:1 and applied on the face. It should be left for a maximum of 10 minutes and then washed off with water. Lemon belonging to the citric family reduces tanning and helps the skin glow but can have an irritating effect over the skin, Aloe Vera hence helps in preventing such irritation proving a cool effect.

3. Aloe Vera, sugar, and coconut scrub.
Mix 1⁄2 cup of coconut oil with 1⁄2 cup of white sugar, add 1⁄4 cup of Aloe Vera gel to it. Apply the scrub on your face and gently massage for 5 minutes. Leave it for 10 minutes afterward. Wash off with water and apply a moisturizer. This scrub helps in exfoliating, rubbing sugar helps in removal of dead skin cells. Aloe Vera penetrates into the skin and coconut helps in retaining moister and acts as a natural emollient.

4. Aloe Vera, cucumber, and honey face pack.
For this pack, you need to blend half a cucumber, Aloe Vera gel, and honey into a consistent paste and apply it all over your face. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash off with
water. This pack is beneficial for people with dry skin as it helps in hydrating the skin.

5. Aloe Vera and Banana face pack.
Smash a banana, add 2 tbsp of aloe gel and 4 drops of rose water, mix it well and then apply the pack to the face and neck region. Allow the pack to dry and then wash it off. It will help your skin glow and leads to brightening and smoothening of the skin.
